ØÜð is the Igor Jovanovic’s (Lezet, Koi Karp, Pluto’s Head, Imperial Needles, Temple Minds, FiXtion, Corpseweed ...) plunderphonics project. The name is Igor’s creation which could signify a word that could express displeasure and disgust when pronounced.
“Mold 01” is ØÜð’s third album and while the previous two albums contained materials by contemporary artists and weren’t released on a label anywhere for obvious reasons, but simply shared with friends instead, this album deconstructs and the materials recorded and released on 110+year-old cylinders and 78s. The names of the original songs are contained within track names.
