C.P. McDill /Lezet/{AN} EeL - "Vedic Vagabonds" is out on THREE WAY DANCE (Ca) and C.P. MCDILL!
This is the first meeting of C.P. McDill, Igor Jovanovic (Lezet), and Neal D. Retke ({AN} EeL) as a trio. The album arose from an experimental parameter whereby we each agreed to create long improvisations without knowing what the others would be recording, then bringing those sounds together in the mix, each of us taking a turn assembling the parts.
Such a challenge is inevitably a gamble, but that is the nature of the experimental approach. The result however exceeded expectations, and all parties involved are happy with it. As you will hear in the recordings, the emphasis is on textures, colors and moods of sound, rather than conventional musicality.
