Øüð - "Joplin" is out on MURMURE INTEMPOREL (France)!
This album was inspired by Bill Orcutt's amazing deconstruction of Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer". Scott Joplin's piano roll recordings from 1916 also get deconstructed here, with final results being complete deviations from original compositions.

Lezet - "Fabrika" is out on MURMURE INTEMPOREL (France)!!!!
I felt a strong urge to once again react musically to the incessant noise produced by the factory across my street - I have already done it on the "Misadventures" album. But instead of organising actual factory sounds into tracks, this time I chose to react to them by improvising on piano, organ, synths and wooden flute as they unfold.
Recorded in September & October 2023, Pozega, Serbia.

Mai Jonsen & Lezet -"The Heat" is out on MURMURE INTEMPOREL (France)!!!!
The second collaboration album picks up where the previous one has left off , moving the duo from the deep to the scorching sunlight.
The album references Mai's nightmarish experiences that luckily ended well.
Mai: acoustic guitar;
Igor: electronics, effects, voices, additional acoustic guitar.
Mai Jonsen has been an IRL friend of mine for over 20 years now. She passionates about Nature, motherhood and lo-fi music.
She toyed and revisited for years the simple ascending and descending melody lines present on this album, and I thought it was time they'd found a home inside longer passages and tracks.
Mai Jonsen does not think of herself as a musician and doesn't have an artist page. Her previous attempts at collaborating with people she knew or admired failed.

ØÜð - "Folkoteque" is out on MURMURE INTEMPOREL (France)!!!
ØÜð is Igor Jovanovic's (Lezet, Koi Karp, Pluto's Head, Temple Minds, Imperial Needles) plunderphonics project.
"This time I played a few of the most common frills in Balkan music on synths and accordion, and then twisted them until they became at least a bit more interesting and engaging.
My utter disdain for Balkan folk in all its forms shines through here.
Note: No actual recordings of Balkan folk were harmed during the making of this album."

Lezet - "Curds 16" is out on MURMURE INTEMPOREL (France)!!!!
CURDS 16 is a collection of tracks made between 2007 and 2022.
I dug the archives a bit deeper for this installment, finding some really interesting tracks that were no longer available.
Then I thought I'd make some new tracks to accompany the oldies chosen.

Lezet -"Island" is out on MURMURE INTEMPOREL (France)!!!!!
The Island perpetuates a single image - the summer sun caressing your face as you lie in a fishing boat waiting for the night to fall and then staying awake 'till daybreak.

Lezet - "Atona" re-released with Murmure Intemporel (France)!!!!

Atona is a series of recordings dating from 2005 to 2008.
The tracks are titled after the actual days of of their respective creation.
I'd like to say that - while I've nothing against people who have sold it as part of their online album collections for the past few years - this album was, is, and will be a free download album.
Original release in 2008 by Dog-Eared Records (Mexico).
Reissued in 2021 by Murmure Intemporel (France).
https://archive.org/details/lezet-atona_MI
Here's what Max Go wrote about this EP :
"On the one hand, there are things I cherish - chord progressions that utilize what I desperately hope others will think of as sophisticated chromaticism.
On the other hand, there are artists who offer up studies in an eloquence that not only humbles my harmonic vocabulary but more importantly, exemplifies a diversification into a higher sonic strata. Enter Lezet's Atona.
These studies glisten and sizzle, poke and stab, stutter, jerk and cavort about beautifully without a hint of anything related to traditional music theory.
There is humor and seriousness here. I conjure in my head a gene-splice of Groucho Marx and Arnold Schoenberg or maybe if the Monty Python cast were given scholarships to Julliard. Julliard would be so lucky.
This is not music for the masses. But boy would I like to play it for them, that they may be momentarily privy, as I was, to these concise statements that are refreshing in their lightheartedness and restraint."
