"Picture an array of vibrant creatures adorned with iridescent wings, spiraling around an invisible axis, their movements synchronized in an intricate, hypnotic ballet. Each creature, be it a luminescent sprite or a fantastical being, held an instrument of sound, resonating otherworldly melodies that painted the air with a symphony of cosmic whispers.
The circling they traced was not a mere physical trajectory; it was a journey through the ephemeral corridors of dreams and unspoken desires. With every revolution, reality itself seemed to shiver, bending to the whims of their noisy orbit.
As they spun, the fabric of the universe trembled with anticipation, and the very notion of gravity lost its authority. Time, in its infinite curiosity, halted its incessant march, choosing instead to waltz along with the celestial rhythm of this re-circling.
And so, within this rhythmical boundless loop, where the experimental met the tangible, the distant collaboration persisted—an eternal enigma existing at the precipice of reality and the unknown, inviting those fortunate enough to glimpse it to partake in its wondrous, ever-revolving narrative."

"This album with experimental musician Igor Jovanovic, the mythically prolific Lezet, was a way I found to express and transcend a common pain. I'd rather not wanting to comment on the political breakdown that my country has been suffering, much less on how much the country of Lezet has suffered. "Renegade Music" ("Música Renegada" in English) deals with more individual pains. Perhaps, even, about the situation of being outcasts in the world of musical commercialism and too human to resort to easy gimmicks. The title is a parody of György Ligeti's "Musica Ricercata", and the music is the result of a sound collaboration that is both plural - since each of us makes use of our multi-instrumentalism - and singular - by opting for a more chamber music and economical approach. It is a music that does not intend to be purely and exclusively closed, proposing structural and interpretation openings. In the end, all this is just the result of our spontaneity and joy in finally establishing a common sound project." (George)

on with, for this occasion: Fender Stratocaster, Fender Telecaster, JWC gypsy guitar (petite bouche), Epiphone Les Paul (with pickups modified by the previous owner), Squier Jazz Bass, a little mouth organ, the obligatory 'plastic peanut' percussion shaker thing, Cubase Pro 8.5, Scarlett 18i8 interface, Rode NT5 & Shure SM58 mics, various VST effects and VST amp sims (mainly VST Amp Rack, VST Bass Amp, and GTR Solo Tool Rack), a few free VST instruments (e.g. TAL-Noisemaker, synister), Nektar Impakt LX49+ midi keyboard, Superior Drummer, field recordings made in Ghent (BE) and Hulst (NL), several random objects (starring the dishwasher, a few squeaking doors and the vacuum cleaner), toys, plant seeds, and a few other occasional & anonymous devices used as (un)intended sound sources. Also sneaked in are some snippets of sound provided by Lezet, at the end of this track (with his kind permission of course!) :-)

Lezet was originally a name Igor Jovanovic had in mind for his high school crossover metal band that never came to be, and although the name itself came to be associated with experimental music (and a mattress factory in Macedonia), Igor remained fascinated with the idea of making eclectic/experimental metal, and would occasionally make a metal-oriented track here and there. Almost two years after a great split with Dyslexic Fudgicle, it was time to do another fantastic full-on metal split.
Igor is currently a member of Lezet, Koi Karp, Gid, FiXtion.

RAZABRI & LEZET - "Electric Saw & Other Tales" released on MURMURE INTEMPOREL (France) today!

"The formation of this collection of sound pieces began with the piling up of arbitrary objects in a table drawer, which led to the making of a simple single coil pickup; it was just a small ceramic magnet of unknown origin and a copper wire taken out of an old telephone – this was the only recording device used on this album.
Recording inside a small magnetic field required objects that are made of any kind of ferromagnetic material that could, in broad terms, vibrate. The above mentioned drawer offered a thin modelling saw fixed on a metal frame which becomes the main instrument during the recordings. Other random objects came later, and were chosen by their sonic qualities.

The collection was made entirely by Uroš Pajić (Razabri) and Igor Jovanović (Lezet), the former working as a recordist, and the latter as a sound editor.
The collaboration captures an hermetic, yet warm collection of soundscapes, recorded without presence of air, yet alive.
Running a risk of sounding too predictable, one could say that this collection portrays the secret life of small metal objects." (Uros Pajic)

The sophomore effort by a duo of old friends is a collaboration as much as it is a split release. It documents a radical departure from the sounds and approaches hitherto associated with Djozr and Lezet , and ventures into dangerously new terrains for both artists (noise-pop for Djozr, guitar-drone for Lezet). But even despite this, the split feels more like a unified body of work than a mere collection of new songs.
